Applying for Financial Aid
Submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the required first step in receiving financial aid. Our school code is 024827 and the priority deadline for the application is March 2nd of each year.

Scholarships
The best way to reduce your potential loan debt is by applying for scholarships. Many WesternU colleges and programs offer incoming students recruitment scholarships based on the strength of a student’s admissions application and interview, so a separate application is not required. Overall, more than 75 recruitment scholarships totaling nearly $1 million are awarded annually to incoming WesternU students.
Applicants for a degree (non-certificate) program may apply for the WesternU Board of Trustees Scholarship, which provides significant financial assistance for students from lower socio-economic backgrounds who might otherwise find it difficult or impossible to successfully pursue graduate study in the health professions. Eligible students will find additional information on their Application Status Page within Slate.
For currently enrolled WesternU students, the University annually awards more than 300 scholarships totaling more than $1 million through the WesternU Scholarship Portal. Several awards are available to students regardless of academic program, but most scholarships are designated for students within a particular college. Prospective students can search the Portal without signing in to get an idea of the types of scholarships available to current WesternU students.

If you reside in one of 10 western states, you may qualify for a WICHE scholarship! WICHE’s Professional Student Exchange Program enables students to enroll in selected out-of-state professional programs usually because those fields of study are not available at public institutions in their home states.
