If you already have a degree in physical therapy and want to advance your career and skills by earning a doctorate, WesternU's Advanced Standing Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program gives you a convenient and efficient way to earn your DPT degree. By offering credit for coursework already completed and web-based classes, you can update your skills and credentials while maintaining your current job and family commitments.

Our fully accredited program provides courses that are not part of certificate, bachelor, or master's degree curricula. To meet the busy schedules of working therapists, we offer web-based courses supplemented by intensive weekend seminars that only require you to be on the Pomona Campus 2 to 3 times a trimester. Our program fills the gap in knowledge and skills between what you learned in the past and what is now expected of the new doctoral-prepared graduate.
