Doctor of Podiatric MedicneWelcome

Breaking News: Forbes Magazine ranks
Podiatric Medicine as the 15th best paying career in America.

Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons are many specialists wrapped into one professional: The practice of podiatric medicine and surgery involves the medical diagnosis and management of conditions that are dermatological, neurological, vascular and musculoskeletal in nature that may be local or systemic that are manifested in the lower extremity and especially the foot and ankle.

In the State of California, the surgical practice involves common and reconstructive procedures of the forefoot and hind-foot including the ankle joint. The podiatric physician is an integral member of the health-care team.

As a podiatric medical student, you will become a physician first and a podiatrist second.
In essence, you will be the physician and surgeon of the foot and ankle.

Our four-year program will allow you to learn with an integrated team of health professionals in a part of the country with a wealth of clinical opportunities. Students in the charter class of the College of Podiatric Medicine will embark on a journey with the enthusiastic support of administration faculty and staff.

Accreditation
We are securing accreditation from the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME). Students who enter a program with the status of "initial accreditation" and who successfully complete the program are considered to be graduates of an accredited program for purposes of licensure and application to specialty programs.
