Many of our programs have made exceptions to the application process and requirements due to circumstances from the COVID-19 pandemic response at WesternU. Any references to in-person campus visits, events, lab work, or classroom interactions must be read in light of social distancing recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). WesternU has implemented remote teaching and learning across all campuses and only essential personnel are on campus at this time. 2021 Application Deadlines

Early Decision Deadline: September 8, 2020

Regular Admissions Deadline: March 1, 2021 (11:59 P.M. EST)

All application materials must be received on or before the deadline.

Application materials received after the deadline are considered late and may not be processed.

Early Decision

WesternU-College of Pharmacy participates in the Early Decision (ED) process through PharmCAS. The Early Decision process is a binding option for applicants who have decided WesternU Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program is their first choice. This is an opportunity for you to secure your seat in the class early. If accepted, you are obligated to accept the offer and will not be permitted to apply to other PharmCAS institutions. If you are not accepted to WesternU through Early Decision, you can apply to other pharmacy schools through the regular PharmCAS admissions cycle.

The application deadline for Early Decision applicants is September 8, 2020. All application materials required by PharmCAS must arrive on or before the September 8th deadline. In addition, WesternU supplemental application and all required documents must also be received on or before September 8, 2020. Admissions decisions will be made by October.

Application Process

The first step is to submit your primary application to the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS). It can take approximately 4-5 weeks for PharmCAS to process application materials and forward them to us. Submitting materials early will ensure timely processing and help avoid web congestion delays.

Next Steps

To give you peace of mind, we will e-mail you when your primary application is received. This acknowledgement does not confirm that we have all required application materials, only receipt of the application.

Should you be invited to interview, you can expect to hear from us one to three weeks prior to the interview date for which you are selected.The College of Pharmacy will conduct interviews and make admissions decisions throughout the admissions cycle, so complete your primary as soon as it’s available. Photo IDs are required on the day of interview.
